Solrød municipality, with its 40,000 population, is located close to the Greater Copenhagen Region and is easily accessible via the Køge Bay motorway and the excellent public transport system. Fifty-five per cent of the working population of Solrød municipality works in the Copenhagen area and the average income in Solrød is amongst the highest in Denmark.

Solrød business life is influenced by the municipality's close location to the Greater Copenhagen Region and the excellent infrastructure of motorways, harbour and airports. The neighbouring municipalities of Greve, Solrød, Køge and Stevns have established a collaboration which is supported by focused business promotion programmes in these municipalities.
