Business profile

Solrød business life is characterised by many small and medium sized companies. More than half of Solrød's local businesses have less than five employees. Locally based businesses are mostly found in industries such as wholesaling, construction, transport & logistics, real estate and IT services. The local business service sector is showing strong growth in areas such as cleaning, catering etc., while consultancy services are also showing good growth. More than half of all local companies operate within the business service or construction sectors. Finally, a number of locally based companies are operating within small markets, including farming and gardening.

In 2004 Solrød had 54,000 local workplaces, an increase of 8,000 in ten years. The increase has been particularly strong within private commerce, service and transport, which account for 15,000 workplaces.
